Naturopathic Medicine

Herbal Remedies

Dr. Parker takes time to listen to her patients so she can really understand them and their individualized needs.

She understands the power of the human body and knows that if you are nurtured and given the right conditions, you have everything you need to heal yourself!

Mind/Body Medicine
Mind/Body Medicine focuses on the interactions among mind, body, and spirit that exist within the patient.  The patient gains a better understanding of how their thoughts and emotions can affect their physical body and learns how to use this connection for their healing.

Naturopathic Manipulative Therapy
Naturopathic Manipulative Therapy (NMT) is a distinctive method of touch used to reestablish balance in the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. NMT is based on the idea that dysfunction must be alleviated in both the joints and muscles of the body in order for long-lasting benefits to be attained.

Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is broadly defined as the external application of water in any form or temperature (hot, cold, steam, liquid, ice) for healing purposes.

Homeopathy

In the practice of homeopathy, doctors use very dilute substances derived from plants, animals and minerals to address a range of acute and chronic conditions. Finding the appropriate homeopathic remedy depends upon gaining a complete understanding of the patient as a whole person.

Therapeutic Nutrition

The foundation of good health is good nutrition.  Many medical conditions can be treated effectively with foods and nutritional supplements, including nutrient IV therapies, while avoiding the complications and side effects which accompany many pharmaceutical drugs.

Botanical Medicine

Botanical medicine is a vital component of the healing arts which draws on the medicinal properties of plants for the prevention and treatment of dis-ease.

Pharmacology
Naturopathic Doctors are extensively trained in Pharmacology.  Although we primarily use natural therapies, we are licensed to write prescriptions for pharmaceutical drugs when necessary.
